Wolcott, NY Independent Insurance Agent

Dobbin Agency was founded by Walter Dobbin in May of 1952. He started out on a small desk in a converted bedroom with a rate manual and a lot of hope. Walter was active in the business until his retirement in 2000, after which he served as a consultant. Walter passed away on March 2, 2012.

The agency moved from Red Creek to Wolcott in 1958. The office was located in an enclosed side porch until 1978.

Ken Dobbin joined Dobbin Agency in 1977. It soon became apparent that more room was needed, so an old dry cleaners building on the corner of Mill and Auburn St was purchased in the Spring of 1978. Dobbin Agency moved to this location in the fall of that year.
